On November 1, we came together to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone—the graduation of our East Asian Studies graduate students. As we watched these exceptional scholars don their caps and gowns, we couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride. Each student brought their unique voice and perspective to the field, contributing to a vibrant academic community. From groundbreaking research projects to lively classroom debates, their commitment to excellence has been nothing short of inspiring.

The celebration was not just a formal ceremony but also a heartfelt gathering filled with warmth and camaraderie. After the official proceedings, graduates, faculty, and staff shared a delightful lunch, creating a space for meaningful conversations and reflections. These chats weren’t just about the past—they were about the bright futures ahead, filled with excitement, ambition, and plans to make an impact in the world.

As a token of appreciation and recognition for their hard work, the department presented each graduate with a special gift. These thoughtful gestures symbolized not only their academic achievements but also the close-knit community they’ve been a part of during their time in the program. It was a moment of shared joy and pride, a reminder of the connections formed and the memories created along the way.
